Companies are phasing out costly experienced devs and using bootcamp cadets with zero direction. Recently worked with one of those that was taught to never bother checking or testing their code and to just commit it to be passed on to QA developers that will correct any issues. So they are basically never going to learn from their own mistakes since they don't even realize they've made any.

This not only makes no sense. It costs serious dollars. So you pay JR devs to be creative and make mistakes and pay sr devs to be bored to death and correct those mistakes?

I’m thinking the QA dev isn’t even senior either. Think it’s 2 layers of JRs that they hope will correct everything. Kinda wild.
