Not drinking at social engagements is really growing on me. Being sober at the end of the night is really refreshing.

Getting on my knees at night, in the morning and mentally throughout the day in prayer has kept me out of a bottle that I entered 40 years ago and was not able to leave in peace. That's how I'm rolling and I'm grateful to God for taking it away!

It's a passing thought in situations where I would typically roll into a place and grab a road soda and carry some booze home to drink while I was playing with my computer wasting time. I was definitely not a social drinker.

Now I enjoy the company of people and I'm available for all who need me. It's amazing...

I'm reading more and I'm even talking on extra jobs because I can! It's not my will either other than I've asked God for help and he gave it. Full retard surrender.

Amen brother. I would say for me so far it has been my stubborness and strong will (rather than surrender), BUT I do recognize that these are gifts from my Creator, so ultimately it’s all thanks to God as well. He made us strong enough to live our best lives, if only we will it (because He certainly does).
