Oops... I knew my new tool was sharp and just told myself to be careful. What i didn't realize was that the rubber handle was loose and allowed it to twist enough to catch my leg.

Makes me think I need to do better with my medical. I have big bandages but not easily available. Luckily, I have workers here, and 1 ran me to the hospital. Nasty puncture wound that didn't want to stop bleeding. Several layers of stitches and all good.

Emergency services no costs and 10 days of antibiotics and pain killers $10 usd. Who needs insurance?

I was a trained EMT and mtn. rescuer, and the services were relatively fast, professional and clean. No complaints about Mexico medical services.

Dang, hope you heal quickly. How did the emergency services cost zero? You’re paying for it somehow… (inflation, taxes, ??). I agree health insurance is a scam, but if you use medical services, you should have to pay. That’s the world I want to live in. All the fatties and smokers and olds pay up for services. Young healthy families shouldn’t have to subsidize unhealthy people

Mexican citizens don't pay and in fact tourists many times pay little to nothing. Socialized medicine paid by taxation.

If i want a private doctor to do a house vist it will cost 25-$50usd and many times include the medicine.

It's not the best but paying cash for doctors, medicines and surgeries is cheaper than US deductible many times.

Paying cash for services is definitely cheaper than monthly insurance premiums and deductibles in the US. Unfortunately most people don’t stop to think about that. If you tell them you don’t have insurance, they look at you like you’re crazy.
