Watching SolarBit come to life is so awesome, this is easily the most complex thing I've ever designed. Thank god I'm guided by a true engineer this time.

looks a little over engineered

does it have a full node too?

but its a great project

happy you have a lot of fun with it !

It is still underengineered, lol. No full node as this is designed for offgrid use. Full Node will come together with the satellite we're working on, but that's a secret. pssssssst.

okay then 🀫

must have been a lot of work, my respect!

What would the whole thing cost?

We'll see about that. The plan is to keep the cost as low as possible, but it needs quite a lot of bolts and hardware. :D

good question... need to finish build and get a firm breakdown of parts etc.. we are still altering designs as we evolve

Holy crap that’s amazing 😻

Neat

DM me and bring this to UnderMine!!

Give us a bit of time, this is still in alpha stage but we're pushing hard to be able to release in spring when the sun comes out.

Alpha stage would be fine for UnderMine! Most of the products people are bringing are Alpha or Beta.

we picking up the pace to completion. what's Undermine ?

UnderMine is a first of it's kind Bitcoin heat reuse Summit. Check it out, the Bitaxe guys will be there. It's not exactly what you're doing, but I think having you there would be mutually beneficial

why is it moving around so much? obviously to find the right angle to the sun but it seems to go over the same spots

This is a prototype and the movement you see is at maximum possible speeds, 16x faster than normal. It will never have to move that quickly in real operation. Still lots of work to do, panels aren't even connected to a battery yet, but now we know the mechanical side of it works!

oh I see, just a demonstration. very cool!

Yes please and thank you

This is great, I love this but for the cost it's cheaper to just run an S9 on residential electric

what cost ? how did you come to that conclusion without even knowing what it costs ?

It's obvious

S9 @10th is $80 and runs for $30 a month in winter to heat my living room

This is badass bro

thank you. still loads of PoW to do to finalize production version

Keep it up! One step at a time ❀️
