You just explained what a statist system does, defined by socialist protocols.
Capitalism: Private owners control trade and industry for profit, rather than the state.

well thats not whats happening from the country that is the leader of capitalism lol
For example, the Chinese Communist Party is exporting cars world-wide at a fraction of the price of american cars.
Yet America is telling them the free market doesnt apply on the international stage lol. Sounds like double standards and hypocrist in my opinion. Crying and changing the rules when you don't get your way.
Or how about enforcing mandatory vaccinations to prop up your private capitalist buddies at pfizer?
Sorry, your theoretical definition of capitalism doesn't add up and real capitalism in the real world is something different in practice.
So I respectfully disagree.
Some call it late stage capitalism or crony capitalism. I agree the naming is problematic. I think it should just be called corruption. Free market capitalism doesn't exist as far as I can tell. Maybe in some smaller ways but not globally or nationally.
Thank you. I am not as eloquent or articulate as you.
Your wording represents my thoughts accurately.

Unfortunately, true ownership of the means of production is unattainable because the economic tool we use, fiat money, is inherently tied to communist principles.
How can one truly own the means of production when we're using central bank notes designed to drain your time and energy? None of this aligns with capitalism.
I think its not capitalism we have but people use the word mistakenly to describe it.
We haven't truly experienced a free-market capitalist system (where individuals have the right to keep what they produce) because the money we use undermines property rights through inflation. Funny enough, central banks are communist in nature.
In reality, America operates under a system of crony statism, so there's no such thing as crony capitalism (which is an oxymoron) or a late-stage version of it.
It simply comes down to this:
private ownership (where you decide what to do with what you create) or government intervention (with a central authority controlling resources produced by market actors).
Now, you tell me: Do you like owning what you make?
Or do you prefer a top-down mechanism where you're forced to relinquish said goods via the threat or use of coercion?
