I sent a note 12 hours ago blaming the LA people for all clumping together. But I'm not really that mean. I feel bad for them losing their houses. I guess I just wanna have a unique take, and I remember farmers losing their crops because they lost their water, and I was always feeling bad for them.

I'm pro-desalination, if it can be done without huge equipment manufacturing and chemical side effects.

Mike, its’s a horrible situation that’s happening.

We as humans want to add some sense into it, sadly we need to just roll with it.

We’ve gone through destruction here in Oz with wildfires-not comparing. But at the end of the day, let’s look towards what can be done right there right now and we can look at implementing better solutions in the future 💜

Right now compassion and kindness are needed 🫂

i think that the legacy of tightly packed cities should stop being a thing now we have the internet

it may have been a little mean but it's a case in point for the benefits of human settlements spreading back out into the open spaces and villages being the urban unit instead of boundlessly packed sprawls

the number of problems you can solve with lower density compared to the problems you get from high density are completely obvious if you ask me

Agree

low density only works with cars, which the Globalists are seeking to ban.

I don’t think your note was insensitive.

they can use salt water to fight the fires - no need to desalinate.

you just can't use salt water for anything else.

they could build a separate water system with huge tanks of salt water in the mountains ( or really man-made salt-water lakes in the mountains ) that can be used by firefighters in case of massive fires like this.

but ultimately the commies who run California just don't care about the peasants who vote them in. they care about frogs and owls.

many areas already have separate purple water lines for "reclaimed" or "recycled" water ( treated sewage ) that is only used for irrigating lawns, which in many places accounts for 50% of total water use.

why not also have a salt water lines that are only used for fighting forest fires.

yes i know salt is bad for everything including plants but if my options are to have a city burn down or to spray the plants with salt water i am going to spray them with salt water.

but the priorities of the elites are different. they would rather have you burn down and the ashes of your home fertilize the habitat for frogs and owls.
