I haven't read the article yet but if I understand QOS correctly wouldn't dual-booting another OS give that OS the same privleged access to the hard drive/system that QOS has, thus defeating the purpose of QOS?
you shouldn't dual boot #qubesos with another os. it is a security risk.
if you understand the risk and want to do it anyway read this first.
https://forum.qubes-os.org/t/multibooting-qubes/18988
you can install windows on qubes with some caveats. read about it here
https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/templates/windows/windows-qubes-4-1/
https://forum.qubes-os.org/t/qubes-4-2-rc4-install-windows-tools-not-working/22192
personally i wouldn't.
also, if you want qubesos to run well, max out your ram 16 GB min, pref 32 GB min, and get at least a 1tb ssd internal drive

"One problem is that when you dual or multiboot, even if you are using encryption on your Qubes installation, /boot is still unprotected and could be maliciously modified by the other OS, possibly leading to Qubes itself being maliciously modified.
The other problem is firmware security - for example the other system could infect the BIOS firmware, which might enable compromise or spying on the Qubes system.
You can use Anti Evil Maid 26, which would inform you if /boot had been modified, but it cannot prevent or fix the problem."
