in a perfect world i totally agree with you but i believe community growth needs to be incentivised somehow.

in my opinion social media "relationships" are mostly one-sided. as in many people on here know nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyehwumn8ghj7mnhvvh8qunfd4skctnwv46z7ctewe4xcetfd3khsvrpdsmk5vnsw96rydr3v4jrz73hvyu8xqpqsg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q8dzj6n, but jack knows only a handful.

my argument is that for the nostr community to grow, you need many more large accounts to advocate for and use nostr. then people follow them to a new platform (or protocol);

and whether this is good or bad, monetary incentives for creators are important - which could be zaps here.

if the goal is to grow nostr, i am not sure how else to achieve that.

We don't need to convince the masses.

We just need to redesign the foundations!

to what end if not grow and make nostr flourish?

To give people the option for freedom.

They must choose it for themselves.

that is an honourable goal.

i hope people are as idealistic as you need them to be for this to be enough.
