Engagement with others is key here, if you just post and wait for people to flock and follow it won't happen, my suggestion would be to engage with others, reply to others notes, and stick around and have fun, zap notes, maybe vary content sometimes to engage a broader audience, engaging with others is your algorithm

Also suggest getting a NIP-05 verification for credibility and showing involvement

It’s to early to expect much engagement or monetisation on nostr, especially regarding something so niche.

Power boaters are a relatively small percentage of all social media users, and nostr users are yet an insignificant percentage of that, same language users are yet another smaller part of that.

For most in the world, it’s an unjustifyably expensive, luxury passtime - “A hole in the water into which one throws money” - as you’ve probably heard described rather accurately.

Overwhelming majority of people worldwide, don’t own or use even a row boat or small sailboat.

Nostr is where Twitter was 15 years ago, or Bitcoin was a decade ago, and most have never even used that network, even though everyone uses money.

Years of patience shall pass before nostr can generate significant cash flow for most business.

Your content is great! Just keep going!

It's a niche subject on a niche network, and they're different types of people. I find your content cool and interesting but I don't boat yet so 🤷

I guess it's for you to know what you want to achieve with your videos. Is this a networking exercise, marketing your brand or an online education gig?

What do you get on other platforms that you don't get here?

You'll definitely get less viewers pushing content to a smaller platform, but if it grows you'dve had a head start. If your existing followers move here it could be a better better medium for both.

As long as you're providing value, I think people repay that here more often than they do on other platforms, but it will be hard to give value to people that don't power boat.

As for tips to grow on nostr, you're kinda leading the way here, there aren't many trying to do what you're trying to do.

there's no algorithm so guess just keep posting and hopefully someone will boost ya post, and maybe add a few more hash tags #asknostr and so on. Maybe that will help
