Fascinating read. Got me thinking about the fact that most Americans don't align with either side. Should they ignore this entire trend or start a third economy of companies who aren't using their business as a platform for either side?

As both sides drive an everything is political worldview, would it even be possible to opt out? Will they pick so many points of contention it is impossible to avoid them all?
