With the demise of SimpleMobileTools as a FOSS project, I've been studying alternatives.
Here are my picks:
* Dialer: [Fossify's Phone](https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Phone), [Koler](https://github.com/Chooloo/koler), [OpenDialer](https://github.com/oxcened/opendialer)
* Keyboard: [openboard maintained fork](https://github.com/Helium314/openboard) Calendar: [Fossify's Calendar](https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Calendar), [Etar](https://github.com/Etar-Group/Etar-Calendar)
* Gallery: [aves](https://github.com/deckerst/aves)
* SMS: [quik](https://github.com/octoshrimpy/quik), [Partisan-SMS](https://github.com/wrwrabbit/Partisan-SMS) (both forks of q-sms which is unmaintained)
* Camera: [GrapheneOS Camera](https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Camera)
* Calculator: [OpenCalc](https://github.com/Darkempire78/OpenCalc)
* Files: [Material Files](https://github.com/zhanghai/MaterialFiles)
* Contacts: [ConnectYou](https://github.com/you-apps/ConnectYou) (does not convince me, very buggy), [Fossify's Contacts](https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Contacts) (unreleased for now)
* PDF Reader: [MJ PDF](https://gitlab.com/mudlej_android/mj_pdf_reader)
* Clock: [new-clock](https://github.com/qw123wh/new-clock)
* Launcher: [KISS](https://github.com/Neamar/KISS)
The ones with multiple alternatives means that I'm still testing all of them in order to pick a winner.
I could have just picked all of [Fossify](https://github.com/FossifyOrg/)'s forks of SimpleMobileTools but I prefer to spread the vendors of all my apps to avoid single points of failure.
