Are DMs private on Nostr? Are they hackable?

I thought everything was hackable. There’s a back door somewhere. The smart person or AI bot just gotta figure it out.

Based on my readings of over 25 years, the internet has never really been private.

I just logged in as you with your npub and looked at your DMs...

...but I couldn't read them because they are encrypted.

The dm itself is encrypted so requires your nsec to decrypt. But who you DM and are DM’d by is public, there are a few potential attempts to remedy this.
