If you tend to hit “like” on everything in your feed, those likes may be preventing your posts, replies, and zaps from publishing to the Damus relay due to aggressive rate limiting if you tend to hit the like button on everything. Likes are proving to be even more worthless dead weight. Better to give them up completely. Gm ☕️☀️

This is probably where we're headed. The only interoperable thing between it all is the notes and the zaps.
With everything on Nostr being an event, anything you do carries equal weight with this approach to rate limiting. So it comes down to which activities you find are most valuable. A like and a reply and a zap are each events. Hitting 5 likes per minute (not unreasonable) would prevent you from doing anything else ever on the Damus relay. Lol
That's if you're only on the Damus relay, right? Who does that?
Probably not many using only that relay. But for anyone who signs up new on Damus it is one of only 2 default relays that they can write to. Damus has 4 bootstrap relays, and two of them are paid write access (read-only otherwise). Many users won’t know to add other relays, so if Damus relays rate limits them, then they’re limited to only that one other non-paid relay unless they add more.
