I vividly remember, long ago, when a friend showed me facebook for the first time.... I thought the site looked like shit. I didn't know anyone on it. All my friends were on myspace at the time. Why would I go to Facebook?

That was my Freshman year of highschool. By my senior year, everyone was on Facebook.

I remember a time in college when an obscure classmate told me about this cool digital money that I could send to anyone in the world. He even offered to send me one so I could understand what he meant. I thought that was ridiculous. I could just go to an ATM and give that cash to anyone... There was no zelle, no cash app, PayPal was basically a bank account and that's it. I quite literally could not understand what "instant payment meant" That was 2011...

Point is, the masses seldom feel like the next big thing is worth paying attention to until they find themselves surrounded by it and feeling foolish for not seeing its true worth early on.

It was my loss then. I won't make that mistake again.
