I've run into the infinite nacho problem with these crochet blankets.

I made the first one with two colors, a bright stripe and a creamy white. Finished the blanket when the bright stripes yarn ran out but had plenty of white leftover.

This left me with no choice but to buy another colorful yarn to make another blanket to use up the white, naturally.

Now I'm nearing the end of this second blanket and lo, I'm running out of the white. I'll have to buy more but then I will have an excess of white again.

And thus, my hand will be forced to buy yet another colorful yarn to use up the white in a third blanket.

when will this end? am I going to be making blankets indefinitely?
