I know one isn't "supposed" to understand song lyrics... especially from "The Church" but this is driving me crazy. Consider "Loveblind." At the start of the song the detective says "His wife suspected something, that's why she brought me in"

But then later he says "I rang my client and I banged on her door

I told her it was me that we was looking for"

So, is this a story about a poor woman whose husband thinks he's a private eye... looking for her husband?
