The sad thing about modern society is $100,000 is minimum wage to survive but most people consider that rich, when people used to survive off $2,000 / year wages.
Bizarre how much inflation has drained us.

I live on less but I don't owe
I mean to be fair I'm probably using the more expensive end.
I'm sure you could find cheap housing in high crime areas but most people want to live a comfortable life.
So the average house is like $500,000 or so I've heard, and rents are like $2,000+.
Cars are probably the primary variable since people are buying like $80,000 Ford F-150s when you could get a used car for like $10,000 to $20,000.
And then like groceries/fast food are at least anywhere between $400 to $600 per person/month.
