There is a plethora of data / metadata that anyone can query, collect, and mine from multiple independent sources.

Be adversarial, this is permanent.

Eh. The same can be said for any open protocol or open source data. It’s not unique to nostr.

I agree! But a shocking number of nostr users I talk to are not aware of that and assume that nostr is either private and or somehow their npub (that they cross verify with kyc platforms themselves) will magically protect them from censorship, targeting, or coercion.
