There is a religious cult aspect to Bitcoin (and hence Nostr). It scares me a bit (actually it’s more like I find it creepy). Jerry Falwell was my pastor for a time growing up as a kid, and my sister was in a proper cult/commune. So, been there done that when it comes to cults.

There are real world issues people need to deal with. The honeymoon phase is gonna end. Was it you or #[4] who mentioned that Apple will pull all Nostr appps from the App Store if relays (or clients) don’t start acting on reported content. That’s major - and when it was said it woke people up.

I predict next year’s Nostrica will be much more practical and grounded. Nostr will have been discovered and under attack from all directions.

I really do want to see it succeed. 🤞 The innocent phase is good in some ways, but then people need to grow up.
