bitcoind: Check - need to buy storage for IBD.

Bitcoin Wallet: Semi-check, bitcoind's `bitcoin-wallet` should do ... i think?

Lighting Node: Nope, need more investigating.

Lighting Wallet: Zeus

Monero Node/Wallet: Nope, not even remotely x)

I'm slowly inching closer to a self-custodial setup. I don't want to rely on Alby or WoS; I want to reach the point at which, should I no longer want to use any of this, I can just `rm -rf` everything and move on. Plus, I learn far more of the ins and outs in this entire space, allowing me a much greater understanding of how things work exactly and how the pieces of software interconnect.

Time for a smoke break, and then imma continue. I'll #phonk my way there, somehow!

Bitcoin Wallet: Bitcoin Core wallet is sorely lacking in features. For Desktop, I recommend checking out Sparrow Wallet or Electrum. With Sparrow you can Whirlpool(mix) your coins non-custodially and coinjoin when you send a transaction. For mobile, Samourai Wallet, Stack Duo, or Envoy.

Mobile Lightning Wallet: Zeus with your own LN node is max sovereignty, security, privacy. But just right below that are Phoenix, Breez, and Blixt.

Desktop Monero Wallet: Feather wallet or Monero GUI wallet

I honestly can't believe that there is no "remote wallet" type app. I don't want to carry my wallet on my phone the entire time - if it goes offline, I worry that transactions may not occur. Granted, I still haven't found any definitive answer as to how a Wallet "actually" works. Does it need to be online 24/7 and am I just making a very misguided guess? Or can I run multiple wallets with the same address on different platforms?

As for Lightning, the same kind of question applies. But after I learned that after setting up a LN node I also need to fund a channel (to whom/where? my server is exposed already...) and then in order to have an email-like identifier, I also need to run more software to provide the lightningadress.

I am certainly getting there, and I think i am at like 90% of collecting my resources; but at this point, I am wondering where I have made some potential wrong guesses - be it either from "being told so" or getting the wrong gist from an article...
