For me, this was never the case. I did feel how workplace and corporate structures can be very energetically draining and there was a whole lot about them I did not like, but many men endure the same experience. Instead of getting married at 21 and immediately making more humans, I chose to figure out how I could earn an income on my own terms as a freelancer. And the plan worked.
As the oldest of five children who helped raise her siblings for 20 years, as rewarding as it can be, I deeply understand there is no guaranteed panacea awaiting just by choosing that path. It can be a beautiful path for many, but it also comes with its own variety disappointments and frustrations, just like anything in the world.
