Whenever I travel and I tell people I am from NZ, almost without fail they will say “such a beautiful country, you must be proud”. I try to express to them that this is a function of how few people there are rather than some cultural phenomenon.

I currently live in Korea which has 60% the land area and 10x the population of NZ and yet it is still a beautiful country with amazing amounts of forest and green space.
