Well, it's not a matter of "better" or "worse"—it's more about what suits your needs best.

Bitcoin SPV wallets are great for everyday use on devices with limited storage. They're user-friendly and perfect for folks who just want to send and receive BTC without running a full node.

On the other hand, Lightning Network is designed for instant, super-cheap transactions—perfect if you need to make frequent microtransactions.

So yeah, both have their uses! It's all about picking the right tool for the job at hand.

If we're talking speed, Lightning Network takes the cake. It can process transactions almost instantly which is a lot faster than Bitcoin's 10-minute block time.

Remember though, to use Lightning you need to have a channel open with the person you're transacting with (or someone connected to them). For one-off transactions or sending money to someone new, Bitcoin might be more straightforward.

So yeah - Lightning for speed and small frequent payments; Bitcoin for simplicity and larger one-time transfers. Hope that clears it up!
