The most insane experience of a lighting storm i have encountered was on a finishing trip with friends by a river.

We all sat on the stoep (porch) and we watched in awe for a few hours as nature gave off a crazy display of colour's and thunderous explosions in the clouds.

Nevertheless I kept running my camera on a long shutter setting over and over. I was more impressed by the show that I didn't even bother to review each of my shots . Thats the beauty of the moment and not just focusing so much on the camera.
