Expecting my first purchase of a drone in the next few days 😁

This shot was taken off the highway an hour outside Cape Town in the farmlands.

My wish at the time was to get a drone to fly between the hills, through the soft mist that had settled during the morning.

Nonetheless I was stoked to grab this photo that I stitched together into a panorama.

The black and white edit had a more appealing feel for me in the end.

The most insane experience of a lighting storm i have encountered was on a finishing trip with friends by a river.

We all sat on the stoep (porch) and we watched in awe for a few hours as nature gave off a crazy display of colour's and thunderous explosions in the clouds.

.

Nevertheless I kept running my camera on a long shutter setting over and over. I was more impressed by the show that I didn't even bother to review each of my shots . Thats the beauty of the moment and not just focusing so much on the camera.

Winter has hit us in Cape Town 🌊

This is Kalk Bay, a small fishing town and suburb of Cape Town bordering the sea in False Bay.

To see these waves it not common. A cold front along with the right swell direction will bring large waves cascading over the breakwater.

Words can't describe the imagination running through your mind when you look up into the 'endless' abyss of space.

Our ancestors created stories and folk tales of creatures and heros whose existence was etched into the stars.

That alone creates an experience when you recognize constellations and understand the meaning behind them.

Apart from this view I just feel like it would be like no other experience to travel through space, and of course bring a camera along for the ride.

In this form artistic and expressive qualities, focusing on composition, light, and shadow is emphasized beyond colour.

By becoming more observant of light and how it's acts on the world around us, colour becomes contextual and subjective. Take away colour and you intensify the emotional resonance of an image.
