Throughout history, the goal of sane societies was to make usary illegal.

Our goal with #Bitcoin is to make it infeasible.

INFEASIBLE, USURY MAKE. #BITCOIN, SANITY, PERHAPS? HMMM?

My brother in Christ, nostr:npub10mtatsat7ph6rsq0w8u8npt8d86x4jfr2nqjnvld2439q6f8ugqq0x27hf, I have upsetting news regarding the first part of your note. A short answer would be NO, THEY HAVE NOT INTENDED TO DO SUCH A THING.

This saddens me greatly.

Maybe they should have instead expelled the perpetrators.

Yes yes, very sad indeed.

Again, no. The usury was agreed upon from the beginning to force the bad out of people. Maybe forcing the bad in would be a better choice of words here. Since you've got to make rent on a forever collapsing currency, statistically you'll do nasty stuff sooner or later.

What. So extortionary interest and criminal banking is to force the bad out of people?

Well, yes. Usury leads to debasement, debasement leads to crimes, crimes delay salvation and feed the beast. It's my working hypothesis anyway.

I heard there was a solution to that.

And that is the end of credit markets .. taking risk for growth and innovation is essential

Let the money lent be money had in the first place rather than something made from nothing.

Paying real interest on something worth nothing is infinite usary.

Money (cash) is supposed to be worth nothing .. the only purpose of money is to exchange assets .. and pay taxes .. for example I can't buy Google stock with Apple's .. not even #bitcoin .. I first need to convert in cash - pay tax - and then acquire another asset .. in essence it is something that we are expected to get rid off as quickly as possible..

This was actually not sane and part of central planning.

If there was a free market allowed for debt it wouldn't have been possible.

Well golly the free market produced the federal reserve.

They should have stopped it with good ol fashioned competition.

Nope, again central planners.

"The Federal Reserve was created by Congress in 1913 and signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson."

Bro the free market tho. Should have competed with the central planners.

The central planners Trojan Horsed us.

It worked, there is no free market if you have a monopoly on violence.
