Just talked to someone who wants to sell their house. They aren't going to put it on the market until this kicks in as they think they will get more.

Seems like prices go up again as is usual with every time these clowns interfere.

Yep, I'd wait till November when some of the stock in their price range will already have been bought out.

Agree re. government intervention.

Rents went through roof when they did the huge pro tenant move of limiting increases to annual instead of usual half yearly. Landlords err on the side of caution, of course, and increase more than they might have otherwise. Agents get a nice percentage of that too so they advise landlords to increase. ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜†

P.S. the reason I suggested November is to sell after initial rush, yet while the tail is still wagging.

FOMO will hit because many will want their "new home" before Christmas and new year. Agents want commissions before holidays too.

Early 2026 much of the frenzy in news will have died off and Easter is super close to end of the Summer break, so a shorter selling season before Winter. Weather less reliable in Autumn. ๐Ÿงก
