What is the best open source ai image generation software that runs locally on Linux machines right now?

Preferably does not require a lot of system resources, but still remains highly customizable.

I have experience with Automatic1111, but I have found my computer is a little slow with it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please and thank you!

Why not stable diffusion?

Prefer to run things locally for privacy and security. Automatic1111 utilizes stable diffusion models. It works, but I want to explore other options.

Hmm. Stable duliffusion runs locally and you can add or change models.

Ollama has a few image gen models I think.

I've got openweb-ui that uses ollama. Never tried it for image generation. I'll give it a go.

As far as stable diffusion goes. I see a lot of conflicting tutorials to different GUIs that utilize it. Is there a specific one for Linux that you would recommend, or do I have to go through the process of obtaining a license through the SD website?

I've used stable diffusion and it works okayish like the old midjourney imagegen there are also specific ones for faced and stuff but I don't know anything that does text and stuff like chatgpt or grok. Looking for something like that as well
