Yes. But my point still stands. Too many people in third world countries or bad areas in wealthier countries who cannot start fires or do other basic self-sustainment activities. This isn’t me knocking on a poor person for not inventing teleportation or something. But if you spend time in poor ghettos in rich countries… the people tend to be there BECAUSE of a lack of wisdom and none of the hardship there experienced seems to fix that on a statistical level.

Yes. Again, these people don’t have that. At least not enough of them to substantiate the “hardship creates wisdom” claim. SOME people get that… and then they leave these types of places. And the rest don’t. Because universally hardship doesn’t create wisdom. If it did, beating your children would do them a great service. But we all know that that sort of excessive hardship doesn’t make the kids better… it causes them emotional trauma that actually LESSENS wisdom in the long run.
