I am happy to see Ross free.
But I'm still a little shocked, even though I know it's the norm, that a single man (and what a man!) can decide other people's lives based solely on personal political strategy.
I find this display of absolute power horrifying.
Look at the bright side, at least the president can't jail people as easily as he can pardon them.

it's a lot more convoluted the other way around, you need to send the guy to court, bribe judges, it's very annoying
But the president and their administration is just one of the many forces in a Republic.
Probably some other force did put Ross to jail. This one have him pardoned.
