I don't understand the, "nostr has an annoying crypto community" criticism.
Build your own fucking community, no one can stop you thats what nostr is about.
When someone says this, what they really mean is, I want a network handed to me on a plate that I can milk for growth.
I'm fine if these people don't join early on, they're leechers more than seeders anyway.

The problem is that you can’t build a community from scratch on Nostr since almost every app only supports WoT gated community.
Bring your own commjnity and their WoT with them, use hashtags, i know there could be better tools for discovery, but that does not justify this attitude, its a victim attitude i couldnt care less about.
yeah, if you already have a community outside of Nostr, you can bring that in as a base. but starting from scratch? no, you can’t.

Nostr doesn't have a crypto community. Vast majority of crypto community has no interest in what nostr provides. Bitcoiners get censorship resistance. Bitcoiners get "hard to kill". Bitcoiners get self-hosting. Bitcoiners get lightning.
And that's why the Bitcoiners are such a vocal majority are on nostr.
They get it in ways that some e-girl who doesnt want to report income doesnt. They get it in ways that crazy assholes who have been kicked off every other platform don't.
