There was no CCTV recording that exact spot, but there is a report from the traffic police at the scene which shows that the other party was at fault because my car was parked. Just from the experience of others who have had similar problems, trying to pay the municipality for the damage is a very difficult process. They say there are even people who have been sued. Since I am not in a position to deal with it, I will not be able to pursue it.
