He's not even close to fixing the money at this point, maybe he'll get there someday. Still in the shipcoin phase.

If he does try to fix the money, then he'll have found the swamp dragons soft spot and it will breath fire and try to kill him. That's why it's going to be the normal people who opt-out that win the battle.
