That’s an attack on Nostr, because no one is so stupid to think zaps on notes are “selling digital content” 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Call me tin-foil hat, but to me it's also an indirect attack on #Bitcoin If we aren't free to exchange ideas, thoughts and commerce and what is acceptable is decided by a committee, we are going down a slippery slope or perhaps we already went down that slope?

I think their reasoning has to do with Apple Pay/30% cut they take as they have something planned and they don't want alternatives to flourish or at least giving people the idea that Bitcoin is more than just a valuable asset but also a medium of exchange to pay for things cheaply using the Lightning Network. This tweet below is what I'm worried about and why they might be doing this.

In a way it is, they know the decentralized ecosystem is growing is power, and freedom of speech + financial freedom is fucking with the establishment 🤦🏼‍♂️

Seems like an attack on speech 🤔

What, we can tip profiles but can’t tip words directly?

What’s the difference between this and people just saying “selling X, zap profile to get it”?

They’re stalling

They are afraid because the power of freedom of speech + freedom of transactions are fucking with their control.

Just give us your lightning address and we’ll zap you 30% 😆

This might be how we flip Apple to zaps ⚡️

They want our bitcoin 🤣🤣

But honestly i think it has hand of the state behind the scene’s more than hand of apple wanting that irrelevant amount of money considering the amount of money they have in cash 🏴‍☠️

It’s most likely just an underpaid reviewer making a quick decision than anything else. Apple doesn’t care about any of this.

It’s because of that that I think it has hands of the state behind trying to figure out how they gonna tax transactions here.

Apple are to big to be concerned about this like you said.

If that’s the case, that underpaid Apple App Store reviewer just became the VP of Marketing at #[5]
