Why is it that gaming for 12 hours straight is perceived as worse than binge watching tv for 12 hours straight?

I’d argue that gaming is much more mentally challenging. Thoughts?

Please enumerate any/all activities that you can say you have done “for 12 hours straight” that would elicit applause instead of caution.
