For the fact that Malaysia is officially a Muslim country, they have outstanding pork, especially bacon. Not everywhere, but I've eaten bacon here that can be only outcompeted by home smoked pork of some of my family members (decentralized small scale production usually wins on quality).

And a trending food category in Grab - Non-halal.

Malaysia is a great example of different cultures living together in peace (whatever locals would tell you - there's no violence). BTW the sometimes not so nice behavior of immigrants in Europe is most probably not due to their religion, but the fact they are selected as recipients of social security. That means Europe is selecting for the non productive. It's like inviting white trash fentanyl junkies from San Francisco to Berlin with free money and lodging and then saying "white Christians cause trouble". It has nothing to do with Bible. Or Quran.

As long as their economic prosperity. Once hardship hits, the Malay muslims and the local Chinese (who have the most economic power) will start violence on each other (similar to what happened in Indonesia not too long ago, although it was rather one-sided). Or if some politicians/foreign powers want to create some disturbance in that region. Easy-peasy. Until then, it is a great place though (despite some regulations). However, a lunarpunk needs to be aware of the risks and be prepared to move on if necessary.

A 15-year-old girl was gang raped in Hamburg, Germany over a period of two and a half hours by several men ages from 19 to 23, most of whom were Muslim refugees.

The trial just finished.

Out of 9 attackers ONLY 1 received a two years and nine months in prison without parole, 8 got from 1 to 2 years of probation.
