why is that. Have phone set to 3G - try not make calls actually and do everything by email using ethernet, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. 3G expected to be turned off in Dec 25 which means Ill be forced to use 4G

New Zealand. Am in a bad area, but 2G and 3G still in use for calls. It was due to be shut off In Mar 25, but am guessing it could not be done, so they pushed it out. Everytime I a make a call now, I get a recorded message telling me I am using 2G or 3G and I need to switch by Dec 25.
well that sucks.. it's catching up fast in India too. Jio is hellbent on making older tech disappear because of the amount of $ they have spent on newer infrastructure 😕
flip side of the coin is that most people use 5G to make the most out of their expensive smart phones by using them for watching movies and live sport on the go. Compliant populations are key to this.
