Welcome on board! I've run the Bitcoin Node for about 3 years now without doing anything else with umbrel/the umbrel store. Just a week ago i got off my butt and tried to do the impossible: Setting up my own lightning node. Check out Alby/Alby Hub/Alby Extension first, which makes the LN-setup easy as a charm. But unfortunately imho Alby itself is a jungle one has to bleed through (-:

Thanks! I’ve set up a lightning node, but not got around to opening any channels yet to test it out. Thanks for the advice, I will look into Alby 👍🏻

Yes, look into Alby first. I would not have been able to open a channel without it.
