The solving of distribution across al manner of disciplines has lead to this exact dynamic. Music and spotify is another classic example. Solve distribution via centralization and fiatnomics and absolutely dominate.
My hope is that nostr + bitcoin + incredibly passionate freedom-centric devs fixes this.
