Everyone once in a while, I like to marinate steak in Italian dressing. It's something my parents did when I was a kid. The vinegar and oil really helps to break down and tenderize tougher cuts of meat. Plus, the Italian dressing is loaded with plenty of herbs that adds a lot of extra flavoring.

Check the label for canola oil.

Actually that looks good, I usually only dry rub these days

Yeah, I don't do this all that often. A couple times a year maybe. It's really good though. It brings back fond childhood memories.

I haven’t as a steak like that in a looong time. My dad did the same thing. Sometimes we’d eat the pieces straight from the marinade bowl raw. That brings back memories. πŸ€™πŸ»

Smells great while cooking too.

Absolutely. I can't wait to grill later.

Nothing the matter with a little comfort food in uncomfortable times.

As a good Italian I would say a good 'extra virgin olive oil' πŸ’ͺ

I like to use white wine instead of vinegar (or white wine and lemon), requires more time marinating though.

My wife does that all the time.

More of a dry brine guy myself, but that does look good 🀝

Looks great, hope it tastes even better! We love to marinate coarse cut meat in teriyaki sauce for two days, the put them on a skewer & grill it. Now that I come to think of it… happily, the grill season will start again soon πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‹

That sounds really good too. Grilling season is upon us πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»
