What if I'm only on blixt wallet on mobile? That is my node
Do I have to keep it open at all times? What if phone turns off?
Sorry lightning noob here
Nodelouš is always at your service sir. š«”
Forced-closures can always happen, it's a part of the protocol. The best thing you can do to prevent them is to ensure that your node is online and reachable at all timesā A Clearnet URI makes a huge difference in that respect. There are also a few LND config optimizations that make FCs less costly if/when they do occur.

Yeah mobile wallets are different beast. Best bet is (IMO) using private (unannounced) channels. That means others will not use that channel to route payments, but it's still available for your use. Not routing payments means less chance of stuck HTLCs which is the primary reason for unexpected FCs.
There is a "list of good peers for Blixt" maintained by nostr:npub1lxktpvp5cnq3wl5ctu2x88e30mc0ahh8v47qvzc5dmneqqjrzlkqpm5xlc that might be a good place to start:
How do I know if a node is private or public? Amboss say which one?
When you open the channel, you can choose which type. A āprivateā channel is simply unannounced to the rest of the network: meaning only you, and the node you connect to, will be aware off itās existence. Most nodes will accept either public or private channels.
Only public nodes are shown on amboss.space, not private ones.
