Are there people out there who prefer calendars that start on Sunday?

Are there people out there who prefer calendars that start on Sunday?

SDA?
Lol. It seems to be the standard for a lot of calendars sold on the high street
I just like calendars that stay a consistent format instead of shifting based off the previous month like some smartphone calendars do.
Some make calendars more complex than they need to do.
But what do you prefer to be the start of the week? Monday or Sunday?
I do.
Sunday is the start of your week?
Maybe it's because I often work weekends that I can't really see how this works
Your queue is right there on your comment. You work weekENDS, not weekstarts. Starting the week at the end is weird af.
+1
Arrg so annoying! If I was in charge, I would mandate that all calendars start on Monday, and all dates are in DD/MM/YYYY format!
Sunday/YYYY.MM.DD or GTFO
Dude, that's not a big deal. The REAL problem is that the hours in the day roll over one hour AFTER we switch between AM and PM. That's just messed up. How the hell does 12:30 PM come before 1:30 PM and 11:30 PM that's insane!
We donโt do that crazy stuff in South Africa ๐
Is there no such thing as 12:30 in South Africa? Or maybe do you consider 1:00 to be noon or midnight? What do you do instead?
I just use blank pieces of paper and make lists of the things I want to do now.
My calendar is full of stuff I don't want to do
No.
Yes. Saturdey alone is the weekend. Sunday--the Lord's Day--is the first day of the week.
Wouldn't the day after the Sabbath be the first day of the week (Monday)?
The Sabbath day was the Seventh Day ("Saturday") from the beginning until the reurrection of Christ. From then onward, Christians gather for rest/worship "on the first day of the week," commemorating his resurrection (and the eternal rest he won for us).
There are some deep theological reasons for this...e.g., prior to Christ man was to pattern his day/week/life according to the One in whose image he was made--"for in six days, the Lord created...and on the seventh, he rested." The pattern was to be obedient work and then enjoy an earned rest.
But--we've all heard the story--Adam, the first man, failed. As did all who descended from him (by ordinary generation).
Christ, the "second man" and "last Adam" succeeded where the first Adam failed.
Christians _start_ with rest, and then work--not to earn heaven, but to express gratitude for heaven already won and promised, by Jesus.
**cough**
...so...uh, yeah, Sunday first, please. ๐
The start of the week is....?
a) Monday
b) Sunday
Monday
wednesday
Sunday. The weekends are on the ends of the week. Crazy concept, I know.
Ooh weekendS are like bookends.
I've never really seen or experienced the week like this. It's like people live different weeks in parallel.
Weekend (2 days)
Weekends (1 day each side)
Do it. Pull the trigger. No balls.

Dang it, why did I reply to myself? ...I meant to reply to this other post: nostr:nevent1qqswt0ryn5zdfv0xuelpfst9cefhmdy4w6m9zl932y0njz5q8ev43sqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygrwg6zz9hahfftnsup23q3mnv5pdz46hpj4l2ktdpfu6rhpthhwjvpsgqqqqqqsjh4pt5
Me. My wife accidentally bought a calendar that starts on Monday and its a constant source of confusion (that neither if us is going to fix).
Yes ๐. The week ends with the seventh day, Saturday, and starts with the first day, Sunday.
I've never understood this madness. ๐
Don't worry, the Bitcoin Wall Calendar will be available in both configurations ๐
