First corn harvest..... Doesn't look appetizing. Help? Did I under water or wait to long to harvest? #asknostr

I’d say it looks more like dent corn than sweet corn, hang it on a wall, dry it, and grind it later for fresh grits or cornmeal, polenta etc

I think you can use it like dent corn. It may have been underwatered and /or dryed for too long

Looks like the wrong type of corn if you were looking for corn on the cob

Must have. The first ones I harvested looked good, but had no flavor. Must have waited too long

looks like it was picked late too. try & catch them earlier, especially if it's not going to rain.

...and schucking dries them quicker, if that was your intention.

It does have the dent corn look.

Looks like too late on the harvest. On the bright side you have seed corn for next year.
