I said what I said. Bitcoin is awesome, but it's not a panacea. Keep your investments in check. Bitcoin is not a private, fungible currency. It is a highly regulated speculative and volatile store of value with lots of potential gains...and losses.

You get it! Seeing way too many people with over half their net-worth invested getting their panties in a bunch because they don't understand investing in volatile assets.
I'm still confused why they're surprised about this "volatility". Like .. it's simply a finite resource with fluctuating value. It quite nicely reflects its value of the moment. What more do you want. You get a true reflection of a real, understandable, finite, transparent asset. (Looking at it from investing pov only.)

Hell yes, love it! I meant gas gague, as in how much gas is left in the tank before you run dry. Denial or positive thinking doesn't get more gas :)
Was with a friend a couple years ago having a beer and standing next to his car. He looked down and just calmly said "now I understand what they mean". I look down and see brake line they didn't have a spare for just folded on itself, clamped into vice grips and taped with electrical tape. Job done

Says someone who doesn't understand #Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not speculative or volatile, humans are. Bitcoin is the most stable system ever existed.
And if you understand economics, then you understand why Bitcoin will also make car tires more durable in the long run.
