It’s interesting. I had New Yorker and Long Island friends who grew up in both places visit me in Scottsdale and Newport Beach. Not one of them wanted to go back to NYC. They had very been to either place and couldn’t believe how much better everything was. One of my friends ended up moving from NYC to Scottsdale after the trip to visit me and said they would never move back to NYC or Long Island.

Funny enough. It’s the people from out of town that came in and voted in the progressive hellscape.

NYC was great in the 2000s and our commie mayor DeBlasio was so incompetent pre-Covid that 2014-2019 wasn’t bad.

I agree there is a price/quality of life gross mismatch.

I was in San Diego last week and it did give me some perspective and stuff to think about in general.

My new job is 100% remote so I don’t know what the future brings with that.

I would avoid both coasts. They have the same insane politics. SD women are the most beautiful in the world per capita, imo. And the Mexican food is incredible. 🤙🏼
