Probably true. Most young people do not care about the things that Nostr offers. They almost all use Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok like their life depends on it (source is me, Gen Z).
fuuck i hate big tech crap, filled with ads.. but none of my friends would give a shit about alt tech
