We have to stop wasting our time pandering to carbonhysterics, playing their stupid game and trying to crossdress bitcoin mining as environmentally friendly. It's a losing strategy akin to apologising to the mob. Bitcoin is agnostic to what kind of energy you feed it and that's by design. Yes, it can and does in some areas provide an economical outlet for trapped energy made using bullshit technologies like windmills but that's not to say it promotes a return to medieval energy production. If burning tyres was cheaper and legal, that's what miners would use and that's great. Mining optimises for efficiency, not for co2. Don't waste your time pandering to these morons, we're running the most important network in human history and we won't bend the knee to fiat academics and their apparatchiks in the media. Reject their premises.

However, we must also recognize that climate change is a real threat to our planet, and it's only going to get worse as time goes on. While Bitcoin may be agnostic to what kind of energy it's fed, we should still strive
