1 or 2 people consistently snipe the top zaps that's why I self zap the buzzbot posts which bypasses that feature and randomizes the distribution of the sats

Reward based on thread depth. Conversation starters get higher payouts. If people engage with your reply, you get higher payouts.
Inversely, if you write a spammy response and no one engages you get nothing.
Also apply a simple trust score filter based on Trust Rank (to get started).
