I finished plumbing the hot and cold water lines in our home today. I am using a manifold and running home runs to each fixture. This allows for the water supply to each fixture in our home to be isolated and turned off without turning off the main water line.

Ooof that's satisfying

Outstanding!

My fixtures have shutoffs for each of them without turning off the main. I didn't know water fixtures came without their own shutoffs.

This is true, but it shuts off water right at the fixture (i.e. under your sink, behind your washer, etc.) This just takes it a step farther and allows the entire line to be shut off. If I want to shut off water to the hose bib on the north side of my house I can do so. I mainly plumbed it this way to have home runs to each fixture and eliminate all connections. It is continuous pipe from the manifold to the fixture.

I dream of doing this. One big reason is to reduce the number of 90° turns the pipes have to make. The structure of the water is maintained when the turns in the pipes are more gradual and sweeping.
