The power consumption is like 100x higher though. That’s a lot of lottery tickets every month.

BitAxe cost me $2 a month to run. Cheap lottery ticket. Free if you power with solar.

Way, way more efficient to run. Smaller. Easier to set up multiples. Supporting decentralized mining. Supporting the BTC circular economy.

I see it as wins all around.

Not when you take into account the electrical costs. If you have a low utility budget or are in an area that has REALLY expensive electric rates, you'll want something as efficient as possible.

1TH on the newest Bitaxe uses less than 15W. 210W for 14TH. 16 bucks a month where I live. An S9 would be 95 bucks a month. 14 Bitaxe Gammas would actually turn a tiny profit.

That's all assuming your rich uncle gave you 14 Bitaxes for your birthday and you didn't drop $2100 on them.
